We are pleased to welcome ALIZA as a new member to our media group for the 2-minute film opening project. We're excited to have her on board and look forward to her contributions and collaboration. Her involvement strengthens our team, ensuring a professional and polished final project.  She's taking on the crucial roles of:  Color grading & Production  Aliza's blog link: https://alizaasmedia.blogspot.com Lets create something amazing together!!

☆Script Development ☆

The Media Studies mock examination is approaching, and for the practical component, we are required to present our blogs and script, written using FADE IN software. During our recent attempt to create a script using FADE IN software, our focus shifted from a traditional dialogue to a voice-over narration approach. Consequently, the text visible in our script represents the narrative voice over, rather than character dialogue. However, we acknowledge that our current script format is not yet industry standard. Furthermore, we have yet to finalise the action descriptions, as we are still deciding on the visual elements to accompany the narration. This aspect will be confirmed and refined before our upcoming mock exam. Out initial draft remains incomplete, and we will revisit and revise the script on Monday in college, ensuring our script meets professional standards and uses FADE IN's features effectively.

☆Drama Analysis☆

Watching "RAZIA", a gripping Pakistani drama, was an eye-opening experience. The shows portrayal of women struggling with inequality and abuse shed light on the harsh realities faced by many. As a filmmaker working on a 2-min film project with similar themes, I found  RAZIA incredibly inspiring. This post will delve into the dramas effective storytelling, character development and cultural relevance, highlighting key takeaways that have informed my approach to crafting a compelling film. Reflecting on RAZIA'S impact, I realize that effective storytelling can transcend borders and cultures. My film Project will carry a deeper sense of purpose now, thanks to the valuable lessons learned from this powerful Pakistani drama. I will continue to explore more films and dramas in future addressing these themes to deepen my understanding!!!

☆Presentation 2.0☆

We took a significant step forward with our new storyline presentation, receiving positive feedback from sir. We're excited to improve and refine as we learn and grow. Our narrative will evolve, and we can't wait to see it on screen.  MORE TO COME!!!!

☆Updated Concept☆

After careful consideration and reflection, we have decided to make some adjustments to our initial storyline. While the original storyline had potential, we felt that it was somewhat simplistic and a bit boring. In order to enhance the narrative and make it more engaging, we have introduced some key changes and developments. These changes aim to add interest to the story, while still maintaining its core essence. Updated title: ECHOS OF HOPE  Update storyline: A young Girl's life is transformed by societal norms and expectations, forcing her to abandon her dreams and educations when her father imposes strict rules. She's married off to a man who constantly belittles her and abuses her, perpetuating a cycle of oppression. As her world becomes dull and grey, her next move is unknown.  The story still focuses on societal expectations of women and domestic abuse but we've tried to make it more interesting.

☆Class Presentation ☆

We took a significant step forward in our media journey by presenting our story idea to our teacher. We received positive feed back and encouragement from our teacher.  However, he also reminded us that there's always room for growth. As we continue to learn and explore various aspects of media, we'll refine our skills and develop new ones. Our teachers guidance and support will be invaluable in the journey. Stay tuned for more updates on our media journey!!!!

☆Story Plan📄☆

As I mentioned in my previous post, our 2-min film project revolves around the theme of inequality, domestic violence and cultural pressure on women. Our story idea, titled "SILENT SCARS" aims to bring attention to the harsh realities faced by many women in our society. Plot summary (story): The story revolves around a young girl who suffers mental torture and inequality by the hands of her parents, who then force her into an arranged marriage. As she navigates her new life, she faces abuse from her husband, but her parents turn a blind eye, believing it to be a normal aspect of married life. And there will be a plot twist or more like a cliffhanger at the end. As we continue to work on the project, we may make some changes to the storyline. We are excited to bring this important social issue to life on screen and look forward to sharing our final project with you.

☆Idea Pitching☆

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm currently collaborating with my team members on a 2-minute film project for our media class. In this update, I would like to share our team's concept for the film. Our projects central idea revolves around Social inequalities, domestic violence, unrealistic demands and cultural pressure on women.  Through our research and brainstorming sessions we've been trying our very best to develop a good story. I'll let you all know about the story in my next post!!!
